PERFORMANCE
For 2012, the Focus offers crisp handling thanks to a rear stabilizer bar and our fully-independent control blade rear suspension that stubbornly resist body roll. The available sport-tuned suspension is taut and confidence inspiring. And add to all that the Titanium trim level with 18" wheels and low profile summer tires and you'll look forward to a ride you'll love every day.

Our 2.0L Ti-VCT I4 engine is all-new for the 2012 Focus. Direct injection provides a cooler, denser more precise charge while our Twin independent Variable Cam Timing self adjusts for efficient performance at low rpm and exhilarating power when you step on it. So you can go green and go quickly.

Part of what makes Focus so satisfying to drive is its fully engaging available six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission, which delivers seamless gear changes and excellent responsiveness. And because it's also designed to be fuel-smart, you can have plenty of fun, without paying the price at the pump. Select models also include SelectShift technology which allow you to change gears at the touch of a button.



The new Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver precise responses at high speed and optimal maneuverability at slower speeds when needed. Its Pull-Drift Compensation technology constantly measures the driver's steering input, adapts to changing road conditions and helps compensate for slight directional shifts caused by factors such as uneven road surfaces or steady crosswinds. What you'll notice is enhanced responsiveness and superior control, specifically tuned for each Focus model.

G forces in a corner transfer more traction to your outside tires than to your inside ones. Our unique Torque Vectoring Control system exploits that by transferring torque to the wheels that have the most grip. It virtually eliminates understeer, forcing the front end to hug the inside of each curve. New technology usually only available on premium vehicles, it creates a connection to the road you'll find habit-forming.

AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with anti-lock brakes (ABS) is standard on every Ford Focus. This state-of-the-art system constantly monitors road conditions and the driver's responses, then adjusts engine power and applies the ABS brakes to help keep all the wheels firmly planted. ESC brings an added measure of handling confidence to the agility you'd expect in a Ford Focus.

DESIGN
If our designers were cubists, the 2012 Focus might have turned out boxy. Clearly, they are not. Instead, they created a shape, and shapes within that shape. The belt line is actually several belt lines, shifting into a Z-shaped pattern that gives the Focus muscular shoulders over its wheels. It's kinetic design. It makes the car look like it's in motion even when it's parked. This is a car that looks coiled and ready to spring. So go ahead. Get in. And start more than a car. Available spring 2011.

The 2012 Focus exudes energy with its athletic Z body lines. It's designed to cheat the wind and steal your breath. The shifting belt line creates sinuous shoulders over the wheels. It looks ready for anything and the looks don't lie.

The available SYNC entertainment and communications system allows you to easily operate most popular MP3 players and Bluetooth-enabled phones with simple voice commands. SYNC even gives you peace of mind with 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report. 911 Assist connects you to a 911 operator through your paired mobile phone after an accident in which an airbag deploys, while Vehicle Health Report allows you to create a personalized online report of your vehicles' diagnostics. Plus you can get real-time traffic alerts turn-by-turn directions and business search right through your vehicle's stereo. Even hear your favorite content anytime you want with personalized news, weather and sports.



Our available Parking Technology Package comes with a rear view camera, front parking sensors and Active Park Assist. Unlike other systems that use imaging devices, our Active Park Assist uses ultrasonic sensors. Once activated, your Focus will parallel park itself with almost no input from you. And it will do it nearly three times faster than competitive park assist systems can.

Our available intelligent access system with push-button start spells an end to digging around for your keys.

The available voice-activated Navigation System with available integrated SIRIUS Traffic and SIRIUS Travel Link not only gives you 3D maps and turn-by-turn directions, it also delivers continuously updated traffic information, current and forecasted weather, gas station locations and prices, live sports scores and schedules, and theater locations with movie listings and times. Available MyKey technology is a feature designed to help parents encourage teenagers to drive safely. It allows owners to designate a key that will operate special features. For example, MyKey can restrict the vehicle's top speed to 80 mph and limit the entertainment system's audio volume to 44 percent of maximum volume. It also provides a warning when the fuel tank reaches 75 miles to empty, allows the administrator to select speed alert chimes at 45, 55 or 65 mph and sets the Belt-Minder System to chime, while muting the audio system, until the safety belt is buckled.

HD Radio technology, available with MyFord Touch, is the digital evolution of analog AM/FM radio and is used by AM and FM radio stations to transmit digital audio and data along with their analog signals. Digital broadcasts deliver crystal clear audio with no static or distortion and have the capability of high-quality surround sound. Best of all, HD Radio comes with no monthly subscription fee. Plus you get the convenience of iTunes tagging. If you hear a song you'd like to purchase, you don't have to remember it. Just touch a button and the information will be stored and transferred to your iPod, which will pass it on to iTunes where it will be offered to you in your queue the next time you shop there.

Our available rain-sensing wipers are all-new for the 2012 Focus. When activated, they use an advanced optical sensor to detect the intensity of rain and/or snowfall to adjust wiper speed. They automatically go on when moisture is sensed.

INTERIOR
It's easy to imagine yourself a fighter pilot driving the 2012 Focus. The cockpit just feels like something you fly, not drive. Everything you need is in there, but it's hardly dry and utilitarian. It's a hundred little reasons to say, "ooh."
