The Iconic Ford Bronco Returns to Ambler

The classic Ford Bronco reemerges after disappearing for more than two decades. The historic SUVs combine the vehicle's retro looks with more modern design aspects. Along with having off-road ability, the Bronco offers real off-road versatility.

The new Bronco models coming to our Lansdale area facility provide new owners with a choice of two different powertrains. Base models are equipped with an inline-four turbocharged 2.3-liter engine that delivers up to 270 horsepower. If the 2.3-liter does not suffice in terms of power, a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine is also an option. The more powerful motor is rated at 310 horsepower. Horsham owners may opt to also have either a manual transmission with six-speeds or an automatic 10-speed transmission.

The G.O.A.T., or Go Over Any Terrain, transfer cases also come in two options. The vehicles will also feature locking front and rear differentials. With a flick of a toggle, the Bronco may be switched into 2WD rear-wheel power, 4WD automatic, 4WD low or 4WD high. The Bronco also has drive-mode selections that include Baja, Crawl, Eco, Mud, Normal, Rock, Sand and Slippery. When adding a tow package, the vehicles haul up to 3,500 pounds.

The interior also has a combination of retro and modern design features. Horsham drivers get an eight-inch digital instrument display situated next to a traditional speedometer. Each end of the dashboard has grab handles. The center stack has an infotainment system with an eight- or 12-inch touchscreen display. The system has Ford's SYNC® 4 technology that includes smartphone integration and Alexa voice command control. Audio and climate control are made possible using the knobs and buttons beneath the screen. The top of the dashboard features a rack and a 12-volt outlet that serves as a mounting and charging base for GPS devices or cameras.

The controls for the windows are situated in front of the center armrest. The cab floor has built-in drains to make cleaning the interior easier after a day out on backroads. The driver and front seat passenger have supportive bucket seats. A bench seat accommodates more passengers.

Two-door models have 23.6 cubic feet of storage space while four-door vehicles 35.6 cubic feet. Fold the rear seats down and get 58.4 cubic feet of room in the two-door and 77.6 cubic feet of room in the four-door.
